Brisance is an explosive substance in Ghost of a Tale. Large containers of it are stored in the armoury magazine of Dwindling Heights Keep, the key to which must be obtained to complete The Rock Fall.
The brisance kept in the keep is so old and volatile that even moving it sloshes the liquid around to the point where it will explode after a given time. Tilo can pick up and move containers of brisance, though even Rolo says that he will not make it more than fifty steps before it explodes.
During the final main quest, Curse of the Green Flame, a type of brisance called "nautical brisance" (which functions identically to normal brisance) can be found around the coastline of the Bone Shore. It must be used to destroy the cursed crystals in the buried chest before the time limit runs out.
