Hythe is a Rat mentioned in Ghost of a Tale. He was one of the Wardens of the Green Flame, and perished at the Battle of Periclave.
History[]
Hythe was born within Castle Dhall, the son of the Chamberlain. He fought frequently with his rival, Duinlan. Eventually he became an architect, and helped to create the Ring of Great Clarions near Lake Vaelia.
Hythe was a poet and artist who was forced into being a warrior during the War of the Green Flame. Duinlan was assigned to be his personal guard, and they fell in love, planning on marrying in Keem after the war. Tragically, Hythe was turned by the power of the Green Flame, forcing Duinlan to kill him.
His grave is marked by an obelisk in the Far Tower of Dwindling Heights Keep; the cliffs were originally named after him and Duinlan.
